Questions We Get Before Booking
The most common things clients ask before and after a weigh-in session, answered straight.
Is shaft weight fitting different from a regular flex fitting?
Yes. A standard fitting typically settles on a flex letter and stops there. We weigh the bare shaft first, separate from flex and torque, and use that number to guide the rest of the build. Flex still matters — we just don't let it be the only variable in the room.
How long does a weigh-in session take?
Single-club sessions (driver, fairway wood, hybrid, wedge, or putter) run 45–60 minutes. Iron set fittings run 60–90 minutes. A full bag weight ladder covering every club typically takes 2–3 hours.
Do I have to buy clubs after my session?
No. There's never any obligation to purchase. You'll leave with a printed weight ladder for your bag regardless, and if you do order a build, your session fee is credited in full.
What should I bring to my session?
Bring your current clubs relevant to the fitting if you have them, the shoes you normally wear to play, and a rough sense of your typical scores or handicap if you know it.
Can two shafts really have the same flex and feel that different?
Regularly. Manufacturers set flex by measuring deflection under a standard load, which says nothing about total mass. Two "Regular" flex shafts from different product lines can weigh 10–15 grams apart, and that gap is usually more noticeable in your transition than the flex label ever was.
How long does it take to receive my new clubs after ordering?
Most builds are completed in-house within one week of ordering, since we stock shafts and components on-site rather than sending orders out to a third-party build queue.
Do you fit left-handed golfers?
Yes. Our shaft wall and bench scale process work identically for right- and left-handed golfers, and left-handed components are in stock across every major weight class.
Can I get fit if I already love my current clubs?
Absolutely — many clients come in just to have their current shafts weighed and confirm the numbers match what they were told at purchase.
Do you offer follow-up adjustments after a build?
Yes. Any weight, length, or grip adjustment needed within 30 days of a build is included at no additional charge while your swing settles into the new specs.
What areas do you serve?
Our studio is located in Lubbock, Texas, and we regularly serve golfers across the South Plains region, including Wolfforth, Shallowater, and Slaton.
